VETORY-90/VETORY-120

Etoricoxib selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 enzyme and inhibits the formation of prostaglandins. some prostaglandins are formed at the site of injury and causes inflammation, pain.

It plays important role in the management of arthritis and pain. It is used along with disease modifying antirheumatic drugs and glucocorticoids. It has greater gastrointestinal tolerability then other NSAIDS

Mechanism of action-

Etoricoxib inhibits the isoform 2 of cyclooxygenase enzyme and thus it prevents the production of prostaglandins by inhibiting the arachidonic acid.

Protein Binding- It is 92% bound to plasma proteins
Metabolism- It is metabolized in the liver
